What is Aduvo Communications? Aduvo comes from the latin root adiuvo, which means to assist, support or be helpful. As a communications consultancy, we assist in assessing your needs and giving you a road map to success, offering support that works with your business model and growth goals.
Aduvo Communications was founded by Tegan Kopilenko, a 24-year veteran of public relations and communications, as well as an organization development and business operations professional. Over her career, Tegan has managed strategic and crisis communications, major product launches, openings and closings of businesses, mergers and acquisitions and more.
Tegan began her career at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, publicizing the beloved institution to the public as well as sharing scientific advancements within academic and research media. From there Tegan moved to Washington,D.C. to work with NCTA - The Internet & Television Association and highlight the organization's contributions to schools and educators around the country.
Later Tegan relocated to San Francisco to join Hornblower Cruises & Events, now known as City Experiences. Tegan led the public relations and communications efforts for the entire company and opened ferry operations to Alcatraz, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and Niagara Falls. In 2013 Tegan joined Cinch PR, a leading consumer public relations agency where she worked with national brands such as Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Blue Bottle Coffee, AutoCamp, Palisades Tahoe and the University of California.
Tegan still resides in San Francisco, and is the 5th generation of her family to do so. She has twice been honored with the President’s Volunteer Service Award for her contributions to Warrior Canine Connection, an organization that raises, trains and provides service dogs for military veterans. Tegan has a journalism degree from the University of Oregon and a master’s degree in Organization Development from the University of San Francisco.
